The 2020 HRW wheat harvest is starting to wind down quickly. Projections are (assuming continued favorable harvest weather) Montana and the Pacific Northwest will complete the 2020 HRW wheat harvest next week. Montana is now 55% complete with harvest and early reports of the crop have been impressive. The 2020 USDA Montana Crop Production report for August indicates the average yield is forecast at 52.0 bu/ac (3.5 t/ha), up 3.0 bu/ac (0.2 t/ha) from the July1 forecast and 2.0 bu/ac (0.13 t/ha) above last year’s final yield.
